How secure is Kubu?

Kubu is extremely secure. The Kubu Lock contains the UK's largest hooks and bolts and has PAS24 accreditation. Kubu does not allow remote unlocking from your phone, meaning the lock on your door is not controlled by the cloud. If anyone hacks your phone, they will not be able to lock or unlock your door.

I’ve got more than one Kubu Compatible Door Lock, what do I need to buy to activate them all?

If you have more than one Kubu compatible door lock, you will firstly need to purchase a Starter Kit, which contains a Kubu Hub and one Door Sensor. The Starter Kit will allow you to activate one door only. However, if you have additional doors, you will need to purchase a Starter Kit and then a single door sensor per additional door that you've had installed. Every Kubu customer needs a Kubu Hub to get started, this is because door sensors can only be activated when they're connected to the Kubu Hub. You can connect a total of 3 door sensors to one Kubu Hub. If you're unsure what you need to purchase, please contact Kubu Support: 0330 555 9545

Does Kubu allow me to unlock my door from my phone?

The Kubu App does not allow you to remotely unlock your door from your phone. Kubu uses a smart sensor to report the status of your door lock and prevent you from leaving it unlocked. Kubu allows you to benefit from smart sensor notifications, while keeping to the traditional way of locking. 

Can I buy a Kubu Smart Kit for my door lock?

If you have 2 red activation stickers on your door lock, this means it is Kubu compatible and can be smart activated with a Kubu Starter Kit. If you don't have the red stickers, this means your lock is not compatible with Kubu. Kubu compatible locks are fitted into doors at the manufacturing stage. Therefore, if you'd like a new door with a Kubu compatible lock already installed, you can get a quote from a Kubu Pro Installer
